Nadine Conner, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in an Athens healthcare facility. She was a native of this area but spent 30 years of her life in Southern California. She was of the Christian faith. She was retired from Ball Jar Corporation in El Monte, California after twenty-one years of service.
She was the daughter of the late James Ernest Lyles and Lou Ethel Mantooth Lyles and was also preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Lyles.
Survivors include her sons: Dennis Conner and wife, Lynne of Cleveland, and Michael Conner of Jacksonville, FL; four grandchildren: Matthew Conner of New York City, and David Conner of Murfreesboro, Chuck Conner and wife Jennifer of Jacksonville, Michele Conner of Jacksonville; two great-grandchildren: one sister, Edith E. (Tootsie) Poe of Cleveland; two brothers, James W. (Buddy) Lyles and Bo Lyles both of Cleveland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor John Mathis officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
