Oscar James Moser, 82, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014 at a local hospital. He was a member of Four Point Baptist Church. He retired from Hardwick Stove Company after 25 years of service. He was called “mow” by many of his friends because he worked on lawnmowers as a hobby.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James Moser and Gailey Mae Crofts Moser; wife: Zady Moser; sister: Reba Lee Goforth; brother: Owen Crofts; and nephew: Dennis Goforth.
He is survived by one son: James Austin Moser and wife Karen of McDonald; three grandchildren: Melinda Centers, Bobby Coffman, and Nicole Barrineau, all of Cleveland; three great grandchildren; and one niece: Judy Tate of Cleveland.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Eddie Murphy officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery with Bobby Coffman, David Ownby, Chris Barrineau, Troy Goins, Jason Centers, and Gary Ownby serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at the funeral home.
