Pauline Howard, 87, a resident of Benton, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a former resident of Detroit, Michigan for 30 years and returned to Benton in 1965. She was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. She loved to travel, crotchet and spend time with family.
Mrs. Howard was the daughter of the late Jim Duggan and Ollie Viola Duggan.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ernest Howard of Benton; one daughter, Sandra Haskett and husband, Thomas of Benton; two grandchildren: Warren “Butch” Arthur, Jr of Cleveland and Misty Renfro and husband, Nathan of Benton; one great-granddaughter, Savannah Renfro of Benton; several step-grandchildren: Cindy Brooks and husband, Tony of Macon, GA, Darren Haskett and wife, Daphne of Kensington, GA, Gina Halenar and husband, Jim of Rossville, GA and Brian Haskett and wife, Nancy of Ringgold, GA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Thursday, April 3, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Betsy Switzer officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Tom Haskett, Nathan Renfro, Butch Arthur, Ralph Bates, Darren Haskett and Jimmy Renner serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the funeral home.
