Gregory “Greg” McLain, 49, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 in a local hospital. He was a member of New Hope Church of the Nazarine. He graduated from Bradley Central High School Class of 1982 where he was a member of the High School Band. He enjoyed marching band music, was an animal lover and enjoyed his ministry to the youth and children at his local church. He was employed with Pathway Press with 32 years of service.
Mr. McLain was preceded in death by his mother, Maudelle Young McLain.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Melissa McLain of Cleveland; father, Bobby McLain of Cleveland; two children: Christina Keith of Brooksville, Florida and Lucas Green of Cleveland; three grandchildren: Landon Harris, Ciarra Keith and Zeke Keith all of Cleveland; one brother, Stephen McLain DSO-DV of US Coast Guard Auxiliary of Cleveland; special mother-in-law, Christine Mayfield of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Carraway and Reverend David O’Neal officiating. Interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Earls Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
