Lorene Beam Mahon
August 25, 1927 — April 28, 2014
Lorene Beam Mahon, 86, a resident of Charleston, TN, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, April 28, 2014 at home surrounded by family. She was a longtime member of New Friendship Baptist Church.
Reverend and Mrs. Mahon served at churches in West Virginia, North Carolina, and in Tennessee in Bradley County, McMinn, Polk and Putnam Counties.
Mrs. Mahon was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Julius Mahon; parents, Charles F. Beam and Clara G. Lineberger Beam; brothers, Joe Beam and Albert Beam; grandson, J. London Sanders.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dianne Mahon Sanders and Jack of Charleston, TN; two grandsons: Joshua Sanders and wife, Kristina of Charleston, TN and Ben Sanders of Columbia, TN; two great-grandchildren: Lenore Sanders and Tristan Sanders; one sister, Ellen Wilson of Raleigh, NC and a brother, Calvin Beam of Dallas, NC; sister-in-law, Diane Beam of Gastonia, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at the New Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Bryant and Pastor Eric Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in New Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Friday at the church prior to the service.
