Della Sue Myers, 74, a resident of Birchwood, passed away Wednesday, May 07, 2014 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. She was a member of the Gamble Road Baptist Church where she was very active.
Mrs. Myers was the daughter of the late Luther and Mary Ruth Cranfield Pendergrass and was also preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Clark and her brother, Joe Pendergrass.
She is survived by her husband, George Myers of Birchwood; three children: Wallace Myers and wife, Shelly, Carolyn Shannon and husband, David, and Kathy Myers and special friend, Michael Sinard all of Birchwood; four grandchildren: James Myers and wife, Amber of Birchwood, Harold Hale of Birchwood, Kimberly McQuinn and husband, Josh of Cleveland and Willie Shannon and wife, Denise of Big Springs, TN; four great-grandchildren: Dylan and Nathan Myers, Destiny McHone and Atlas Shannon; sisters: Opal O'Rear and husband, Harry of Chattanooga, and Bobbie Cordell of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Allen Pendergrass of Spartanburg, S.C.; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Josh Cornelius officiating. Interment will follow in McInturf Cemetery with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at the funeral home.
