Mildred Burchfield Evans

Mildred Jane Burchfield Evans, 89, was born August 21, 1924 to her parents, Mike and Betty Burchfield and passed away May 12, 2014 into the arms of her precious Savior with her loving husband of 70 years, J.D., and her son, Harold by her side.
She loved her Savior and went to church until she was no longer able to attend. She loved her family and enjoyed working in her flower gardens, making dolls, clothes and cooking.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Evans; brother, Roy Burchfield; and sister, Beulah Farris.
She is survived by her husband, J.D. Evans; son, Harold Evans and wife, Debra; two grandchildren: Summer White and husband, Sam; Daisy Owenby and husband, Joshua; four great grandchildren: Trinity and Paris Sellers and Alexandria and Isaac Owenby; sisters, Edith Webb and Ruby Evans of Cleveland; niece and nephews, Jo, Mike and Douglas; and other nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Quinn Green officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2014 at the funeral home
