Linda Jane Hicks Flint, 66, of Cleveland, passed away Friday, December 20, 2013, in a Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Baptist faith.She was a homemaker and a retiree of Charleston Hosiery, and ran and co-owned Marvin and Linda’s Oyster Bar.
She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Lincoln Hicks of Cleveland; and one brother, Terry Dexter Hicks of Ft. Myers, FL.
She is survived by her husband: Charles Marvin Flint of Cleveland; mother: Margaret Leona Camper Hicks; three children: Tammy Janelle Flint, Charles Marvin Flint, Jr., and Melinda Ann Flint, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Christopher Ryan Flint, Brandon Lee Ellis, Jacob Alexander Miller, Tanner Peyton Ellis, and Tori Nicole Thompson, all of Cleveland; two great-grandchildren: Zachery Ryan and Elizabeth Flint of Cleveland; two brothers: Danny Hicks and wife Judy, Ronald Lee (Corky) Hicks and wife Nita, all of Ft. Myers, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Delano Cemetery with Raymond Flint, Rodney Flint, Lamar Flint, Jim Flint, Billy Flint, and Brandon Ellis serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the funeral home.
