Joseph Perry Stoker, 72, a resident of Ocoee, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014 at the family residence. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Holsom Bakery after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the military police in Korea.
Mr. Stoker was the son of the late Jake and Nola Stoker and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Jo Milner; two brothers, Delmer Stoker and Doyle Stoker.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Geri Stoker of Ocoee; daughter, Saundra Faulk and husband, Mark of Ocoee; three grandchildren: Joseph Milner and wife, Marie of Ocoee, Chris Graves of Ocoee and Kira Chadwick of Cleveland; two sisters: Jean Williams of Acworth, GA and Bonnie Setser of Canton, GA; two brothers: Freddie Stoker of Canton, GA and James Stoker of High Point, GA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Fort Hill Cemetery Veteran’s Section with Pastor Jerry Herron officiating. There will be military honors and a white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
