Thomas S. Casteel, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at the family residence. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church. He was an accomplished guitarist and enjoyed carpentry work. Thomas also loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was retired from Bendix Corporation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Casteel; parents, Thomas H. and Lillie Hurst Casteel; sisters: Alene Ingle, Leola Wilson and Christine Brooks; brothers: Earl Casteel and Willie Lee Casteel.
He is survived by his children: Deborah Hefner, of Nashville; Sonya Richmond and Angela Eisele both of Cleveland; 3 grandchildren: Ashley Hefner, Colin Hefner and Dakota Wells; 2 great grandchildren: Kaedyn Cobb and Keeli Cobb.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 31, 2014 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
