Doris Jean Howard

Doris Joan Howard, 77, a resident of Cleveland, passed away with her loving family at her side on November 28, 2013 in a Chattanooga hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. Doris loved being with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed working with flowers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald C. Howard; son, Billy Howard; parents, William and Ruby Dooley Pierce; and brother, Bill Pierce.

She is survived by her children: Michael Howard and wife, Helen of Cleveland; Tamera Howard Smith and husband, Jerry of Decatur; Charlie Howard and wife, Jesenia of Cleveland; 5 grandchildren: Melinda Procter, Jennifer Pelt, Tracey Cornett, Tanika Beavers; and Valentina Howard; and several great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Stinnett and Teresa Kerr; brother-in-law, Roger Howard; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mike King officiating. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
