Victor Joe Gregory

Victor Joe Gregory, 61, a resident of Cleveland went home to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, November 3, 2013. He was a member of Calhoun First Baptist Church. He was employed with Bowater Southern Paper Company for 41 years. He was a true outdoorsman who dearly loved to fish and hunt. He always had a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eyes. He loved spending time with all of his family. He lived his testimony on a daily basis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Keith and Marie Gregory; daughter, Vanessa Jo Gregory and brother, David Keith Gregory. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Anna of Cleveland ; daughters, Tina Mendenhall and husband, Mickey and Melissa Sherlin and husband, Dustin all of Cleveland; sons, Chris Barnett of Mobile, Alabama , Toby Gregory and wife, Jill of Maryland, Victor Keith Gregory and wife, Rachel of Calhoun, and Nicholas Gregory and wife, Rachel of Cleveland; grandchildren, Olivia, Jordan, Tucker, Madeline, Coleman, Shaun, Alana, Gunner, Sam and Peyton; great-granddaughter, Zoie; sisters, Barbara Renner and husband, Jimmy, Deborah Davis and husband, Gary all of Cleveland, Angela Fain and husband, Tony of Cleveland; brothers, Charles Gregory and wife, Wanda of Cleveland, Courtney Gregory of Athens; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Gregory of Cleveland; nieces and nephews, Carolyn, Jimmy, Tammy, Charlene, Josh, Nathan, Jason, Heather, Marty and Michelle; several great nieces and great nephews who dearly loved him and also a host of friends . Funeral services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Tony Spencer and Jo Shamblin officiating. Interment will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Gardens with Nicholas Gregory, Jerry Standridge, Randy Mason, Jimmy Allen Renner, Jason Davis, Nathan Davis, Josh Gregory, Mingh Gno and Dennis Turner serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
