Winona Carver McDaniel went home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2013. She was born January 12, 1933 and was 80 years old. She had been a long time resident of Calhoun, TN and moved to Georgetown after retirement to be close to her children. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from American Uniform Company and a member of Candies Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Paul McDaniel; her parents, the Reverend Ervin Carver and Grace Moats Carver; brother, Reverend Gordon Carver and sister, June Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Wanda Winters and husband, Lew of Georgetown, son, Dale McDaniel and fiancé, Kim of Meigs County; granddaughter, Lauren McDaniel of Cleveland, grandson, Matthew McDaniel of Georgetown, granddaughter, Casey Shaw and husband, Trevor and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Kendall and Kori Shaw of Millbrook, New York. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Roberts and husband, Frank of Athens; sister-in-law, Betty Mason and husband, James, sister-in-law, Barbara McDaniel and sister-in-law, Betty Jean McDaniel all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 6, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Sears officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Matthew McDaniel, Ryan Smith, James Chase, Ed Nichols, Lew Winters and son, Dale McDaniel will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at the funeral home and also from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
