Tonya Annette Smith Clemmer, 42, of Cleveland, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 10, 2013 at a local hospital. She attended Bradley Central High School. She was employed at Taco Bell as an assistant manager for several years. She was also a certified nursing assistant at Bradley Healthcare and was self-employed before becoming disabled seven years ago. She was a member of Chestuee Baptist Church all of her life under former Pastor Carl Gamble and current Pastor Jerrell Fowler. She was also under the pastorate of her uncle, Pastor Ray Higgins. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry R. Smith; grandparents, Jewell and Cecil (Cash) Byrd, Roy A. and Joella Smith; uncles: Dwight A. Smith, Eugene Byrd and Don Byrd; a dear aunt, Patsy Gobble and a very close cousin who was like a sister, Beth Stepp. She is survived by her husband, Tim Clemmer and her son, Tanner Clemmer who was the love of her life; mother, Brenda (Byrd) Smith; brother, Jerry Phillip Smith and wife, Patty Smith; step-children, Josh Clemmer and Ashley Clemmer; mother-in-law, Martha Clemmer; two step-grandchildren, Aubree Lawson and Landon Clemmer; nephews: Beau Smith, Cory Smith, Zach Smith, Dwayne Smith and Hunter Smith; and very special aunts and uncles: Jetty and Ray Higgins, Glenda Smith and Larry Smith all of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastors Marvin Carr, Ray Higgins, Jerrell Fowler and Daniel White officiating. Interment will follow in Lebanon Cemetery with Beau Smith, Cory Smith, Zach Smith, Hunter Smith, Josh Clemmer and Gary Tatum serving as pallbearers. Dwayne Smith will serve as honorary pallbearer. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
