Linda L. Kennedy, 72, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, November 16, 2013, in a local hospital. She was widely known as a Good Samaritan in the Cleveland area, always helping the homeless and down trodden. She was featured in Life Styles of the Cleveland Daily Banner on August 19, 2012. She was very devoted to her children and grandchildren. She attended Big Spring Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Oliver Wehunt, and her parents, Ford and Evelyn Calfee Kennedy. She is survived by four children: Sheri Brewer and husband Roger, Charles Wehunt, Jr. and Sheila Coleman, James Wehunt and wife Cheryl, and Ronnie Wehunt, all of Cleveland; seven grandchildren: Christy Botts and husband Jason, Shawnda Carter and husband Mason, Adam Brewer and wife Amanda, Corey Wehunt, Corey Disney, Joshua Lang, and Dillon Lang and wife Mary K., all of Cleveland; fourteen great grandchildren; brother, Larry Kennedy and wife Lois of Cleveland; sister, Dyan Kennedy of Laverne, OH; special friend, David Bernier of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with David Sink officiating. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Jeff Brewer, Jeremy Brewer, Jeff Brown, Dane Mills, Chris Brewer and John Hampton will serve as pallbearers. Her family will receive friends from 4 ? 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
