Dorothy Lea Casson Arthur, 83, a resident of Cleveland, left this world to be with our Lord on Friday, September 6, 2013. She was an active member at Cookson Creek Baptist Church for over sixty years. She was a dedicated worker for Hardwick Clothes Factory for over twenty nine years. Mrs. Arthur was a wonderful woman to all who knew her, a true angel in our world. She was preceded in death by her father, John Henry Casson, mother, Dessie Mantooth Casson, her loving husband of 40 years, James C. Arthur, several brothers: James, Flavis, Bud, Bufford, J.D., and Otis Casson, one sister, Jean Beckler, and one great granddaughter, baby Morgan Duckett. She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Ann Hughes and husband Billy of Cleveland; one son, Larry J. Arthur and wife Becky of Polk County; one brother, Alfred Casson of Old Fort; five sisters: Savannah White of Cleveland, Mary Ruth Randolph of Charleston, Beaulah Weaver of Cleveland, Fransis Hall of Cleveland, and Sue Boles of Murfreesboro. She was blessed with five grandchildren and their spouses: Steven and Jada Arthur of Polk County, Brent and Karen Arthur of Polk County, Stacey D. Hughes of Etowah, Mike and Lisa Hughes of Cleveland and Kimberly and Jerry Duckett of Cleveland; eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; loving friends and neighbors of 53 years, Betty and Herbert Hutson whom she loved with all her heart; and several nieces and nephews. She is greatly loved and will be missed by all. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Woody officiating. Graveside services will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Cookson Creek Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 5 ? 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
