Emma L. Trentham, 84, of Athens, formerly of Charleston, passed away, Monday, September 09, 2013 in an Athens healthcare facility. She was a life long member of Center Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Allie Prince Ledford; her husband Marvin Trentham; two children: Wanda Gail Trentham and Dexter Dean Trentham; sister, Stella Gregg; brother, George Ledford; daughter-in-law, Judy Trentham; and brother-in-law, Jim Gregg. She is survived by five children: Lee Trentham of Athens, Lynn Trentham of Cleveland, James Trentham and wife Alisha of Cleveland, Mark Trentham and wife Laura of Athens, and Jack Trentham and wife Nellie of Etowah; seven grandchildren: Valerie Trentham, Caden Trentham, Tristan Trentham, Marie Trentham, Heather Trentham, Lucas Trentham and Ryan Trentham; sister, Gladys Floyd and husband Clyde; brothers: R.L. Ledford and wife Marie and Ralph Ledford and wife Gertie; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Rickey Ledford and Lee, Lynn, James, Mark and Jack Trentham will serve as pallbearers.
