Ronnie Lee Shubert

Ronnie Lee Shubert, 58, loving father, brother, uncle and friend, after a long battle with cancer, went home to be with his Savior September 30, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He attended Thompson Springs Baptist Church. Ronnie was an avid fisherman and hunter. He liked to garden and enjoyed lending a hand to those who needed his help. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lindsey and Mary Lee Shubert; three brothers: Donald Ray Shubert, Charles Shubert, and Bobby Joe Shubert; two sisters: Virginia Maxine Shubert and Donna Fay Shubert; one sister-in-law, Beulah Faye Shubert; two brothers-in-law: Dewey Lewallen and Bill Davis. He is survived by two children: Ronnie Lee Shubert, Jr. and wife, Andrea (Nikki) of Pikeville and Calvin Lindsey Shubert of Virginia; three step grandchildren: Danielle and Michael Cagle and Brandon Beebe all of Pikeville; brother, Lester Gene Shubert of Old Fort; five sisters: Edna Ruth Davis of Kingston; Ellene Lewallen, Mary and husband, Tony Hernandez, Barbara and husband, Homer Roberts; and twin sister, Connie and husband, James Dobbs all of Cleveland; sisters-in-law: Opal Shubert of Texas and Patsy Shubert of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Teague and Reverend Homer Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery in Kingston, TN with Kyle Roberts, Jamie Dobbs, Scotty Hernandez, Ricky Lewallen, Jackie Prince and Brian Neely serving as pallbearers. His remaining nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the funeral home.
