William Peter Lee

William Peter Lee, 96, of Cleveland Tennessee passed away on October 10, 2013. He was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a veteran World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy. He was born in Leeds, Alabama and is the son of Bertie and Charles Theodore Lee. He married Ruth Simpson in May of 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Theodore and Bertie; siblings, Charles, Sarah, Caroline and James; son, William; grandson William Kent. He is survived by his wife Ruth; daughter Sandra Purper; three grandchildren: Robert (Susan) Sturm; Diane, widow of William Kent; John (Karen) Sturm; Elizabeth (Logan) Hurst; great-grandchildren John (Vanessa), Michael, Evan, Kaleigh, and Matthew Sturm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pleasant Forrest Cemetery in Farragut, Tennessee. Family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 12 at the funeral home prior to the service.
