Alida Virginia Birchfield

Alida Virginia Drawdy Birchfield, 65, a resident of McDonald, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2013 at her residence. She was a member of Eagles Chapel. Mrs. Birchfield was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Birchfield and her parents, Marion Drawdy and Syble Herndon Drawdy. She is survived by four children; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. A graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
