Jerry Lloyd Daugherty

Jerry "Barney" Lloyd Daugherty, 61, a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2012 in a Chattanooga hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a member of the Main Street Cruisers and enjoyed antique cars and going to cruise in?s. He was an avid bike rider. Mr. Daugherty was the son of the late Charles Lloyd Daugherty and Ruth Lockett Daugherty and was also preceded in death by his son, Justin "Chad" Daugherty; sister, Ann and brother, Paul. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte L. Daugherty and son, Nick Daugherty; two sisters, Helen Shell and Peggy Wright; pets, Gracie and Jax; several nieces and nephews also survive. The family will receive friends Friday, July 27, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. At Barney?s request he wanted all car club members to drive their antique cars or trucks to his visitation. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
