Tommie Ellis Proctor

Tommie Ellis Proctor (Red Rooster), 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away at his residence on Friday, August 10, 2012. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was of the Baptist faith. He was retired from Preston Printing. Mr. Proctor was the son of the late Edd and Rose Proctor and was also preceded in death by his sister, Lois Proctor. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Imogene Proctor of Cleveland; daughters: Deborah June and husband, Kenneth Ray Moore of Meigs County, Angela Faith and husband, Richard Allen Moore of Benton and Mildred Louise Cain of Cleveland; sons: William Ellis "Buddy" Proctor and wife, Freda of Ten Mile and Norman Leslie Proctor and wife, Darlene of Cleveland; fifteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Proctor of Kingston and Clarence Proctor of Spring City; several nephews and nieces also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Freddy Crumley and Reverend Rick Benizer officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Decatur with military honors. Pallbearers will be Dwight Moore, Brian Moore, Matt Cain, Neal Proctor, Josh Cain and Dustin Cain. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Moore and Daniel Cain. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2012 at the funeral home.
