Rosie Mae Flowers, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Old Fashion Gospel Tabernacle on Hannah Drive. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson Sanders and Suzanna Irene Vines Sanders and husband, Johnny Flowers; also preceded in death by her son, Howard Flowers. She is survived by three children: Mary Hawkins and husband, Gene of Dalton, GA, Dora Mae McGill and husband, Larry and James Flowers all of Cleveland; eight grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Sanders of Charleston; two sisters: Cora Wooden of Cleveland and Marie Martin of Etowah; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Prospect Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
