Edward R. Easley, 81, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 18, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. He was of the Church of God faith. In the past he was involved in several Blue Grass Bands. He was retired from Mullinax Lincoln Mercury after 25 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Korea. Mr. Easley was the son of the late John William Easley and Lillie Bryant Easley and was also preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Leamons Easley; son, Michael Ray Easley; brother, Lavaughn Easley and twin sister, Ethel Mae Bandy. He is survived by his nieces: Pam Rathbone of Cleveland, Tammy Carter of Fernando Beach, FL, Deborah Stepp and Patricia Gober both of Georgia and nephew, Jody Easley of Florence, AL; one sister, Katherine Galloway and husband, James of Epworth, GA. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Josh Brown officiating. Military honors will be provided with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. His family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home prior to the service.
