Willie Mae Chastain, 79, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, March 01, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Beacon Baptist Church. She was employed with Cook Manufacturing Company for 27 years. She loved working in her flowers and keeping in contact with friends and was devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Chastain was the daughter of the late Floyd Pullin and Gussie Mae Dale Pullin and was also preceded in death by her son, Eugene Chastain; brother, J.D. Pullin and sister, Rene Cross. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ben Chastain of Cleveland; four children: Bob Chastain and wife Mary of McDonald, Steve Chastain and Doug Chastain both of Cleveland, and James Chastain and wife Debbie of Mt. Juliet, TN; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, George Pullin of Cleveland; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Floyd Boggess and Reverend David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Red Hill Cemetery with Jeff Pullin, Gary Cross, Tony Chastain, Robert Chastain and Josh Chastain serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
