Fritz Kissell

Fritz Kissell, 73, a resident of Old Fort, passed away March 5, 2012 in a local hospital. He was a member of Blue Ridge Temple Baptist Church. He was retired from the Tennessee State Highway Department after 30 years of service and was also a part time farmer. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Kissell and his parents, Stella and August Kissell and a brother, Max Kissell. He is survived by a sister, Frieda Sisco of Calhoun and a brother, Isaac Rose of Wewahitchka, Florida; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. Daniel Kissell, Greg Kissell, Billy Miller, Jake Jacobs, Lee Ross and Jack Cagley will serve as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
