Debra L. Elliott, 53, a resident of Delano, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 in a local hospital. She was a member of Church of the Rock in Etowah. She was a retired insurance agent with several local agencies. Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by her father, Harold "Deano" McKenzie and father-in-law, Paul Elliott. Survivors include her husband of 13 years, David Elliott of Delano; mother, Shirley Walker McKenzie of Walker County GA; two daughters: Candice Millaway Blair and husband, Matt of Illiopolis, IL and Sandi Millaway of Cleveland; one step-son and wife Cody Elliott and wife Heather of Tallahassee, FL; special mother-in-law, Moma Mae Elliott of Cleveland; six grandchildren: Gracie, Ocean, Charlie, River, Damien and Alannah; one brother, Tim McKenzie and wife Robin of Cleveland; two brothers-in-law: Mike Elliott and wife Sue of Sweetwater and Gerald Elliott and wife Denise of Benton; one sister-in-law, Gail "Sissy" Elliott of Cleveland; special aunt and uncle, Maxine and Lester Elkins of Meigs County; several nieces and nephews also survive; special caregiver Jason Barnes of Guardian Healthcare and the wonderful staff at Skyridge Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Barnes and Reverend LeRoy Elliott officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Matthew Blair, Mike Elliott, Gerald Elliott, Cody Elliott, Kenny Elliott and Ralph Elliott will serve as pallbearers.
