Wendell Glen Carroll

Wendell Glen Carroll, 53, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, March 19, 2012 in a local hospital. He was of the Baptist faith. He was formerly employed with Cooke Manufacturing Company. Wendell never met a stranger. He was formerly a judge with the United Kennel Club where he was an expert on coon dogs. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dale Carroll; grandparents, Rufus and Sarah Carroll and Winfred and Helen Gibson. He is survived by his parents Glen R. Carroll and Shirley Gibson Carroll; one son, Richie Carroll all of Cleveland; one sister, Patricia Turner of Whitesburg, GA; two brothers, Ray Carroll and wife, Elizabeth and Mike Carroll and wife, Laquita all of Cleveland; two nephews: Paul Turner and Ray Turner both of Whitesburg, GA; one special niece, Hannah Carroll of Cleveland; one uncle, Frank Gibson of Cleveland; several nieces, nephews and aunts also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chilcutt Cemetery.
