Allen Dewayne Lord

Allen Dewayne Lord, 53, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012 at a local hospital. He was a 1977 graduate of Bell County High School in Pineville, KY. He was retired as a self employed construction worker. Allen served with the Kentucky National Guard for 4 years and with the Tennessee National Guard for 23 years where he retired as Sgt. First Class. He was a member of Pineville Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his sister, Teresa Diane Lord; paternal grandparents, Thomas Franklin Lord and Hattie Mae Lord; and maternal grandparents, Lucius and Julia Thornton. He is survived by his wife, Donna A. Lord of Cleveland; parents, Allen and Betty Thornton Lord of Pineville, KY; children John Russell and wife, Cheryl, Richard Lord and wife, Kristy and Gerald Lord, all of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Regan Hicks, Tristan Russell, Summer Lord and Ryan Lord; siblings, Stephen M. Lord of Elizabethtown, KY, Tony Lord of Glendale, KY, Dennis Lord of Corbin, KY, Melody Lord Reynolds of Palm City, FL, Darren Lord of Barbourville, KY and Pamela Lord of Pineville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon Thursday, January 12, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tina Lord officiating. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 12:00 Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
