Barbara Lou Rowe

Barbara Lou Rowe, 81, a resident of Ringgold, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2012 at a Chattanooga hospital. She was a parishioner at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church. She was a Gold Star Mother, an accomplished pianist and a devoted mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Rowe; parents, Leonard Alex Milne and Winona Everett Milne; sister, Isabell Otter and brothers, Robert Milne and Earl Milne. Family includes her 10 children: daughter, Linda Capek and Milan Capek of Cleveland; grandchildren, Barbara Sue Rhyne and husband, Dru, Donnie Arkle and Suzette Heflin; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and William Bontekoe; great-great grandchildren, Dylan, Cecilia, Eleanor and Gavin Bontekoe; son, Russell Hevern, who was killed in action in Vietnam in 1969 daughter, Robyn Chrane and husband, Chuck of Big Spring TX; grandchildren, Jimmy and Ferrol Voight; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sydney and Carson Voight and Ashton, Jordan and Breanne Voight; daughter, Raleen Carr and husband, Doug of Ringgold, GA, grandchildren, DenniRae Thomas and husband, Joe, Steven Carr, Bobby Carr and wife, Carrie, and Kevin Carr; great-grandchildren, Rachel and Benjamin Thomas, Austin and Kelsey Carr, and Aiden Carr; son, Jack Ahern of Dillion, MT daughter, Susan Viola (deceased) and husband, Carl; grandchildren, Frank Viola and wife, Elena and Russell Viola and wife, Katie; great grandchildren, Isaak Viola and Kierstyn Viola; son, Harry Rowe and wife Jessa of Seymour, TN; grandchildren, David and Austin Rowe. daughter, Laverne Lee and Robert Sr. of Cleveland; grandchildren, Robert Jr. and Violet Lee; daughter, Gladys Rice and husband, Raymond of Pullman, WA; grandchildren, Valerie, Camina, Suellen and Huber Rice; son, Charles Rowe of Seymour, TN brother, Leonard Milne of Spokane, WA Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10, 2012 at St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church with Father Albert Sescon officiating. Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery in McDonald with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Kevin Carr, Joe Thomas, Russell Viola, Frank Viola, Harry Rowe, David Rowe, Drew Rhyne and William Bontekoe will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
