George Carver, 80, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at a local hospital. He was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. He served with the United States Airforce in Korea. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Paralee Kincaid Carver; his first wife, Margaret Carver and sister, Helen Harris. Survivors include his wife, Mary Ruth Colloms Carver; sisters, Irene Brown and husband, Clarence, Geraldine McGaha and husband, Jim, Juanita Crick and Carol Cartwright and husband, Charles; sons, George E. "Bugs" Carver and wife, Carol and Rick E. Carver and wife, Jackie; stepchildren, JoAnn Womac, Butch Maddox and wife, Cindy, Randy Maddox and wife, Debbie and Anita Norton and husband, David; grandchildren, Eric Carver and wife, Jessica, Jillian Beaty and husband, Parker, Michael Carver, Steve Bennett and wife, Kristy, James Womac, Staci Crisp and husband, Camus, Tyler Norton and wife, Amanda, Brad Maddox and wife, Kim, Clint Maddox, Aaron Maddox and Kelly Maddox; 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Ray Cheathem and the Reverend Randy Maddox officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery in Blue Ridge, GA with Eric Carver, Michael Carver, Mike Johnson, Terry Miller, Steve Bennett, Brian Cartwright and James Womac serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5:00-9:00 on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the funeral home.
