Jerald Martin Howard

Jerald Martin Howard, age 68, a resident of Cleveland, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at the family residence. He retired from the United States Army and had received honors selling Real Estate in Georgia. He enjoyed his Ham and CB radios and tinkering on cameras and electronic equipment and building computers. He was a Nascar fan and loved his football and baseball. Jerry as his friends called him, also enjoyed camping and fishing and his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy. He had a great sense of humor and loved gospel music and Jesus, and had great faith that all will be well one day…. He was a man of wisdom, loved his family deeply and forgave freely and helped anyone within his power, he was kind and gentle and grateful for the smallest of things. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frankie and Martin Howard. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Carol Howard of Cleveland, TN; children: Scottie Howard and wife Kim Howard, Cynthia Howard Mowery, Cletis Howard all of Cleveland, TN; Jenifer Howard of N.J. and step daughters, Patricia Hall and husband Richard Hall and Christine Goins Bennett both of Cleveland, TN; sister, Diane Haney of Cleveland, TN; brother, David Howard of Killan, AL; grandchildren, Scott Howard, Rebecca Howard Williams, Larry Howard, Shadey Howard, Drew Howard, Curtis Mowery, James Howard, Williams Hall, Peyton Hall, Alex Bennett and Zach Goins; great grandchildren, Connor Howard and Danielle Williams; many aunts and uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces, many “Radio Buddies” and Face book Friends….. not to forget his greatest friend… his dog little Tootsie. At Jerald’s request, he wanted to make the greatest donation, giving his remains to the study of science. There will be a memorial service on Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
