Joshua Matthew Wilkison

Joshua “Josh” Matthew Wilkison, 34, passed away suddenly on December 26, 2011. Despite Josh’s physical burdens, Josh always remained a loving and merciful man. He is now at peace in the arms of the Lord. Josh’s love of music and photography was an inspiration to all of his family and friends and we are now at tremendous loss without him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Wilkison and his nephew, Kaleb Thurman. Josh was the beloved husband of Jennie Wilkison of eight years; father, George Wilkison; father and mother-in-law, Lynn and Helen Melton of Cleveland; brother, Butch Wilkison of Waycross, GA; sisters, Kimberly Thurman and Angela Thomas both of Knoxville; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; seven nieces and nephews. Josh also leaves behind several pets including his loyal “Chewie” in the loving hands of his wife. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor James Laws officiating. His family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
