Clarence Marshall Wallace, 84, of Cleveland, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at his residence. He worked for Jafco for over 44 years. He was also a member of First Baptist Church and a former Ordained Deacon of Blue Springs Baptist Church. He was a member of Alahambra Shiners and the Masonic Lodge and former member of the Cleveland/Bradley Co. Beer Board. He also taught adult Sunday school for several years and helped start a Sunday school class at Garden Plaza. He also loved to bowl and play checkers. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Sherman and Bertha Marie Myers Wallace; brothers, Arnold Wallace and Archie Wallace and sister, Georgia Wallace. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Hooper Wallace; 3 children, Gary Wallace and wife, Suzanne, Kay Elder and husband, Melvin and Ila Kirkpatrick and husband, Mike; 7 grandchildren, Karen Musgrove, Ken Wallace, Amanda Gilbert, Adam Elder, Laura Elder, Chase Kirkpatrick and Olivia Kirkpatrick; 7 great-grandchildren, Brent Musgrove, Jake Musgrove, Emily Musgrove, Garrett Wallace, Greyson Wallace, Grace Gilbert and Karma Kirkpatrick; sister, Mary Tinsley of Charleston and brother, Raleigh Wallace of Georgetown. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Jim Gibson and the Reverend Max Morris officiating. Interment will be Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:30 in Chattanooga National Cemetery with Ken Wallace, Garrett Wallace, Russ Musgrove, Duane Gilbert, Chase Kirkpatrick, Adam Elder, Jackie Buckner and Gale Tinsley serving as pallbearers.
