Dorothy Katherine Torrence

Katherine Torrence, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Westwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen Phillips and Nola Sliger Phillips. She is survived by her two sons: William E. “Bill” Torrence and his wife Nancy of Knoxville and James Torrence and wife Katie of Cleveland; three grandchildren and spouses: Dr. Madison Torrence and Vanessa of Ooltewah, Holly Roberts and Adam of Douglasville, GA and Chris Torrence and Anne Marie of Kingsport, TN; six great grandchildren: Rebecca and Isabelle Torrence, William Roberts, Jack Roberts, Sam Roberts and William Porter Torrence; sister-in-law, Linda Phillips of Pinellas, FL. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
