Lorene Dixon Rakestraw

Lorene Dixon Rakestraw, 72, a resident of McDonald, passed away at Hospice Care Center in Chattanooga on Wednesday, November 16, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Flavis and Lula Dixon and was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jack Rakestraw. She is survived by her four children: David, Pat, Sue and John Rakestraw; four grandchildren: Symara, Seth, Baylee and Sean Rakestraw; two great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews; brothers, Ron Dixon, Charles Dixon and Harold Dixon. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the Pine Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in McDonald. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, November 18, 2011 at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
