Larry Kinzel Ledford, 63, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, December 5, 2011 in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. Mr. Ledford was a graduate of Bradley High School Class of 1966 and graduated from MTSU in 1973, with a BS degree. He was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where he always enjoyed serving as an usher. He loved politics and was very proud of his work on the campaign to elect U.S. Senator Bill Brock in 1970. He was the president of the Cleveland Jaycees in 1979 and served as President of the Oak Grove Parent/Teacher Association in the 1980's. He worked for Wichman Monuments for 10 years as sales manager. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kinzel and Marian McWhorter Ledford. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sherrie Ledford of Cleveland; children, Ken Ledford and wife Jenni of Memphis, Laura Ledford of Washington, D.C., and Courtney Ledford of San Francisco, CA; grandson, Tripp Ledford; mother-in-law, Laura Schneider of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law Susan Stephenson and husband, Tom of Memphis and Patty McManus and husband, Steve of Annapolis, MD; brother-in-law, Chuck Schneider of Chattanooga. Also several nieces and nephews, Tommy, Katie and Meg Stephenson of Memphis and Todd McManus of Washington, D.C.; aunt Mollie Clark of Cleveland and special cousin, Marilyn McKinney of Cleveland & Florida. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Smith officiating. Interment will be Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Fort Hill Cemetery concluding with a white dove release ceremony. Tom Stephenson, Tommy Stephenson, Chuck Schneider, Steve McManus, Matt Carson, Jimmy Clark and Trent Wichman will serve as pallbearers. His family will receive friends from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
