James R. Myers, 44, of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was last employed with Cooke?s Food Store and formerly Smith?s Small Engine and Vassey?s Lawn and Garden. James had an adventurous mind and a love for the outdoors. He loved to take things apart just to put them back together. His friends referred to him as Moe and to his family, he was Uncle Bubby. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin and Louise Hawkins and Robert and Lori Myers; brother, Michael Myers; and nephews, Wesley T. Headrick and Tyler Myers. He is survived by his mother, Margie Hawkins Welchel of Cleveland; father, J. C. "Knobby" Myers and wife, Juanita of Calhoun; children, Brittney Myers and Brad Myers of Cleveland and their mother, Kelly Myers Hardin of Cleveland and Natasha Green Prince of GA; grandchildren, Taylon and Jesselyn Hardin of Cleveland and Madison, Journey, Haylo and Diesel Prince, all of Georgia; grandmother, Lois Hawkins of Chatsworth, GA; siblings, Theresa Lowe and Susan Headrick of Cleveland and Tiffany Shamblin and Justin Myers of Calhoun; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Danny Works officiating. Interment will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
