Tara Beaty Whaley

Tara Beaty Whaley, 37, a resident of Charleston, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 13, 2011. She was a 1992 graduate of East Ridge High School and had an associates degree from the University of Phoenix. Tara was a corporate trainer for Blue Cross Blue Shield. She was a member of South Cleveland Church of God. She loved spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Loyd and Mabel Beaty and Charles R. Torbett, Jr. and father-in-law, John Whaley. She is survived by her high school sweetheart, best friend and husband of 16 years, Russell Whaley; two wonderful sons, Ashton Hart Whaley and Hunter Lloyd Whaley; mother, Sheryl Torbett Domeck and husband, Mike; father, Terry Beaty and wife, Tammy; grandmother, June Morris Torbett; sisters, Danielle Domeck, Mandi Beaty Melton and husband, Nathan and Jill Hammond; four nieces and two nephews; uncle and aunts, Warren Torbett, Kristi Torbett Johnsen, Cheryl Hicks and Karen Hamby, along with their families; mother-in-law, JoAnn Whaley; brother-in-law, Chris Whaley and wife, Donna. Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 at South Cleveland Church of God with Pastor Chris Moody officiating. A private family graveside service will be held Tuesday morning. Ashton Whaley, Cody Johnsen, Nathan Milton, Chris Whaley, Ken Waltrip, Gary Erwin and Bryan Erwin will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Torbett, Trey Johnsen, amd Wyatt Johnsen. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the church prior to the service.
