Wayne Lacy, “Jr” age 64 a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at the Hospice Care Center with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Wayne and Emma Lacy. He enjoyed restoring old antique cars and gardening. He accepted the Lord into his life at the age of 63. He was employed with Bradley County School System. He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Emma Lacy; grandparents, A.J. and Pearl Lacy; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clyde and Virgie Murphy. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara (Murphy) Lacy; twin daughters and their spouses, Stephanie and Robert Pendergrass and Bridgette and Billie Byers; one sister, Hazel Lacy; two grandsons he adored, Brayden and Blake Byers all of Cleveland; step granddaughter, Amanda Pendergrass of Mt. Airy, NC; one aunt, Blanche White of Old Fort; several cousins and good friends, Howard and Betty Sue Lonas of Cleveland. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Ingram and Pastor Mark Cameron officiating. Interment will follow in Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Pallbearers will be Ray White, Jerry Mason, Howard Pulliam, Gene Moore, Bobby Long and Mark Burgner. His family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
