Elizabeth Gowan

Elizabeth “Bett” Gowan, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2011 at a local healthcare facility. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church. Mrs. Gowan was the daughter of the late Troy Isenhower and Pauline Lackey Isenhower. She was also preceded in death by her husband, C.H. Gowan and her only son, Rickey Gowan who passed away in 1981. She is survived by her two grandchildren, Angela Gowan of Nashville and Alesha Sells of Cleveland; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Gwen Mashburn, Eloise Cox and Lucy Beavers all of Crandall, GA. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Minister Johnny Sosbee officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.
