Bobbie S. Grape, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, August 22, 2011 at her residence. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a veteran of the United States Army where she was on active duty for four years. While serving her country she sang in the USO. She was a member of the American Legion Post 81, VFW Post 2598 and AMVETS Post 13. She was a graduate of Southern Adventist University with a four year degree in nursing. She was employed as a registered nurse with Cleveland Community Hospital for over ten years. Mrs. Grape was the daughter of the late Buford Dunnaway and Agnes Staton Dunnaway and was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Grape who passed away in 1998; son, Dennis Grape and one sister, Peggy Duncan. She is survived by her four children: Jimmy Grape, Lori Grape, Jan Grape and Donna Grape all of Cleveland; one grandchild, Danielle Grape of Cleveland; one sister, Carolyn Garrett of Birchwood; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 26, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Scoggins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Her family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the funeral home.
