Carroll Anderson

Carroll Anderson, 70, of Morrow, GA and a former resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2011. He was retired from General Motors where he worked 35 years. He was also a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a M.P. in Korea. Mr. Carroll was a member of the United Auto Workers. He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Hazel Cartwright Anderson and brothers, William H. “Bill” Anderson and Doyle Anderson. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ina Sue Owenby Anderson of Morrow, GA; son Mitchell Anderson and wife, Amy of Stockbridge, GA; twin brother, Darrell Anderson and wife, Kathy of Cleveland; sister, Barbara Bailes and husband, Jerry of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor A. C. Cooper and Pastor Doyle McCracken officiating. Entombment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jimmy Bettis, Jute Miller, Cloy Ogle, Mark Anderson, James Anderson and Kenneth Anderson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be James Disharoon, Curtis Lipps and Bill McClure. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
