Cecil Morgan, 65, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2011, in a local hospital. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War where in served in the U.S. Army. He was employed with McKee Foods for over 19 years and later was the owner and operator of C & A Charters for 11 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie Lester Morgan and Detter Rogers Morgan; brother, Delbert Morgan; sister-in-law, Deborah Aly; and father-in-law, John W. Moore. Survivors include his wife, Anna Gertrude Moore Morgan of Cleveland; children: Bruce Jonathan Morgan and wife, Brittany of Clinton; Olivia Danetta Lawson and husband, Craig of Cleveland; foster son, Jeff Thomas and wife, Judy of Graysville; four grandchildren: Emily Lawson and Gage Lawson of Cleveland; Hayden Morgan and Micah Byrd of Clinton; two brothers: Clifford Morgan and wife, Linda of Forrest City, Arkansas; Lamar Morgan and wife, Suzanna of Ducktown; special cousin, Bonnie Amburgey and husband, Floyd of Springfield, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Frank Kelley officiating. Interment will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday in Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Tennessee Motor Coach Association Drivers serving as honorary pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the funeral home.
