Stanley E Shannon

Stanley Shannon, 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 in a local hospital. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of Union #714 where he worked in repair and maintenance. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley and Ethel Massengill Shannon; sister, Betty King; brother, Frank Shannon; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Harris three weeks ago; son, Byron Anderson; and infant daughter, Candy Shannon. Survivors include his wife, Willanna Shannon of Cleveland; children: Robert Shannon and Dorothy Harris both of Chatsworth, GA; Kenneth Anderson, Steven Anderson and Cynthia Anderson all of Cleveland; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters: Margie Ward of Chattanooga and Linda Layne of Harrison; brothers: David Shannon of Birchwood and Kenneth Shannon of Ooltewah; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Crowden, Mike Mullinax and Don Couch officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery with his grandsons serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
