Jeannie A. Shipman, 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 in a local hospital. She was of the Baptist faith. She was employed with Charleston Hosiery for 21 years. She had a deep devotion and love for her family. She was preceded in death one week ago by her mother, Bessie Ashe Simpson; and her father, Carl Ashe. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Shipman of Cleveland; children: Timmy Scott and wife, Laura of Apison; Jeff Scott and wife, Tammy of Soddy-Daisy; and Jason Shipman and wife, Nikki of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren: Jordon Scott of Cleveland; Chris Sherlin and Nick Jones both of Soddy-Daisy; and Sara Patrick of Red Bank; sisters: Barbara Dunn and husband, Ervin; Betty Nicholson and husband, Johnny all of Cleveland; brother, Jerry Ashe and wife, Sheila of Montgomery, AL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday June 16, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Beaty officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with Jason Shipman, Chris Sherlin, Jeff Bates, Tommy Worley, Tony Woodard and Lee Buckner serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at the funeral home.
