Wesley E Welborn

Wesley E. Welborn, 73, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. He was a member of The Old Pathway Missionary Baptist Church. He was retired from the Wright Brothers Construction Company after 20 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Ann Welborn, his father, Earnest Welborn and his sister, Raelinda Welborn. Survivors include his mother, Goldie Carter of Wichita, Kansas; two children: Brenda A. Otto and husband, Anthony of Otis, Kansas and Cindy Welborn of Ft. Worth, Texas; one step son, John Newberry of Cleveland, TN; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Harold Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with military honors. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. His family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. The family requests that memorials be made to St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
