Carleen Walker

Carleen Lawson Poe Walker, 76, a resident of Dalton, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2011 in a Georgia healthcare facility. Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Earle Leonard Lawson and Exie Rosella Gordon Lawson and was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert Lee Poe, Jr. and Roger Lynn Poe; two brothers, Leonard Lawson and John Franklin Lawson. She is survived by her husband, Neff Walker, Jr. of Dalton, GA; one daughter, Regina Poe Johnson and husband Wayne Johnson of Savannah, GA; three step-children, Robert Walker, Calvin Walker and Tammy Shoemaker all of PA; six grandchildren: Christina Johnson, LeAnna Dowd and husband, Ashley all of Savannah, GA, Jessica Stone and husband Charlie, Julie Howard and husband, Jeff all of Cleveland, Robert L. Poe, III and Steven Poe; eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service. Her family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2011 at the funeral home.
