Dallas L. Woods, 68, of Cleveland, passed away July 1, 2011, in a Chattanooga healthcare facility. He was employed as a millwright at Duracell for 28 years. He attended Maple Street Baptist Church. He was a 32 Degree member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge #134 F&AM. Preceeding him in death were his parents, Walter and Thelma Woods, infant daughter Sherrie Woods, the children’s mother Shirley Stowe Woods, and a sister, Pat Wilson. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary Lou Woods, of Cleveland; his daughter, Cindy Ferguson and husband Bobby, of Cleveland, and their children, Brittanie Hartness and husband Phillip, of Delano, and Charles and Jessica Rogers, of Athens; his son, Brian Woods of Ocoee, and his son, Dustin Woods of Cleveland, and former daughter-in-law Lisa Beckler and her husband Jerry of Ocoee; his daughter Lori Marshall and husband Randall of Decatur, and their daughter, Amy Hartness and husband Simon, also of Decatur; five great-grandchildren: Shaun Hartness, Trevor Hartness, Ethan Hartness, Skylar Hartness, and Malachi Woods. He is also survived by stepson Tracy Green and wife Tena of Ooltewah, and their children, Trey Green and Alison Green of Ooltewah; stepdaughter Monyah Cloud and husband Greg, of Marion, Maryland, and their daughters, Kira and Keri Palmer, also of Marion, Maryland; stepdaughter, Tammy McConnell and husband Nathan of Cleveland, and their children Brooke Gregg and husband Cody of Chattanooga, Natalie McConnell, Seraiah McConnell, and Colter McConnell, all of Cleveland. Other survivors include three step great-grandchilren; Riley Gregg, Brayden Gregg, and Bentley Higgins; a special niece, Sheila Edwards; special niece and nephew, Jason and Jennifer Patterson, and other nieces and nephews; also special canine daughters, Princess and Little Bit. A Masonic service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2011, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, followed by a visitation from 3:00-6:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor Stephen Lewis. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service. Pall bearers will be Phillip Hartness, Dustin Woods, Simon Hartness, Trey Green, Colter McConnell, Charles Rogers, Jason Patterson, and Nathan McConnell.
