Florene Peck Wooten

Florene Peck Wooten, 84, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2011 at her home. She was born in Athens, TN and lived in Cleveland, TN during her adult life. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. Flo’s love of gardening was well known. She delighted in sharing her flowers and spreading the beauty of these vast color pallet to many gardens of Cleveland and afar. Mrs. Wooten was the daughter of the late Minnie and Hugh Peck and was also preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Wooten; granddaughter, Amy Wooten-Huddleston and daughter-in-law, Sharon K. Wooten and three sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her son, Mitchell W. Wooten; grandson, Eric M. Wooten; great-granddaughter, Desiree Huddleston; daughter-in-law, Sandra Wooten and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011 at the funeral home prior to the service.
